Violet Cake Co. is a custom bakery located in San Diego, California. The principle decorator and owner is Malissa Sanfilippo, a graduate of the University of Southern California's School of Fine Art. At Violet Cake Co. craftsmanship and customer service are key. Every cake is treated as a creative piece of art which requires all of Malissa's time, expertise and attention. Every detail is carefully thought out and crafted. We start by compiling a list of the customers' ideas for their dream cake. The process then becomes a collaboration of those ideas and our guidance which, when formulated together, produces an original piece of edible art. In addition to the artistic quality of their overall look and appearance, all cakes are prepared with fresh, locally outsourced and organic ingredients setting them far apart in taste from those that are made using a significantly different process.
